About the Author: Don Mitchell is Associate Professor of Geography at Syracuse University. He has previously taught at the University of Colorado, has been North American Editor of the journal Ecumene and is on the editorial board ofAntipode. In 1998 he was named as a MacArthur Fellow. He is the author of TheLie of the Land: Migrant Workers and the California Landscape (Minneapolis: University of Minnesota Press) as well as numerous journal articles.
