Print on Demand. This book details the history, cultural practices, and harvesting methods for kenaf, an annual crop that produces the raw material for pulp. The author emphasizes that kenaf is a promising new crop source for pulp in the southeastern United States due to its fast growth, high yield potential, and wide adaptability. The author suggests that kenaf could serve as an alternative to traditional pulpwood sources as the demand for wood-based paper products grows. Furthermore, research into its composition indicates that kenaf produces paper products with a good balance of lignin, cellulose, and other desirable traits, making it suitable for a wide range of paper applications. This book provides a thorough examination of kenaf as a potential pulp source, offering valuable insights for those in the forestry and paper industries seeking sustainable and high-quality raw materials. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
