John Storey is Professor of Cultural Studies and Director of the Centre for Research in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Sunderland. He has published widely in cultural studies, including six books. The most recent book is called Inventing Popular Culture (Blackwell, 2003). His work has been translated into Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian. He is a Visiting Professor at the universities of Henan and Wuhan.
