Reviews
...well-organized...valuable for its scope, currency, and subject index.
A comprehensive, annotated guide to building a multiethnic children's collection.
This collection of annotated bibliographies includes separate lists of children's books about Native Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, and African Americans. Within each ethnic list the titles are subdivided into biography, folklore, picture books, fiction for middle readers, reference books, and nonfiction. The annotations are succinct and informative, and the paperback design is bright and accessible. However, despite the title, there's no guide for using the books together across cultures.
