Item description from seller

An in-depth guide to producing ones own vegetables and flowers at home by Sutton & Sons of Reading, complete with a scarce dust wrapper. First published in 1884, this work had reached nearly two hundred thousand sales before the publication of this edition. It was produced by the renowned Sutton & Sons seed house in Reading, a company which is still extant and received royal patronage in 1858, still supplying the Royal household today. The twentieth edition of this extremely popular work.Complete with a scarce dust wrapper, which is priced at 15/6. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with some slight wear to the edges. Dust wrapper has a little loss to the front joint, and is somewhat chipped to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with occasional underlining and notes in red pencil by a prior green-fingered owner. Very Good.
