Cunningham and Other Pigs I Have Known

Cunningham and Other Pigs I Have Known is a hilarious collection of short stories about pigs. The author, Emory Jones, draws from his own experiences with real pigs from his days on the farm and as an active member of the Future Farmers of America. More importantly, he draws on his vivid imagination and lively sense of humor. Emory’s imaginary pet pig, Cunningham, steals the show as this “cunning” pig takes art lessons, travels to places like Washington, DC, Rock City and Churchill Downs. Cunningham even joins a book club, acts in a play, takes an airplane ride and almost becomes the grand marshal of Helen, Georgia’s Octoberfest parade. Both pig fans and folks who’ve never set foot on a farm will love Cunningham and Other Pigs I Have Known. As former Georgia governor Nathan Deal says, “I know what it takes to exhibit a Grand Champion. Without a doubt, I would award the Blue Ribbon to Cunningham.” This is Emory Jones at his best: Lyrical, philosophical and funny as all get out. The book is available in both hardcover and softback versions.
