The Curate's Manual: With Reference To The Sick And Dying (1840)

The Curate's Manual: With Reference To The Sick And Dying is a book written by John Stearne and originally published in 1840. The book is intended to serve as a guide for curates, or assistant clergy members, in their pastoral duties, particularly when ministering to those who are ill or dying. The manual provides advice and instruction on a wide range of topics, including the spiritual care of the sick, the administration of the sacraments, and the performance of funeral services. It also includes prayers, hymns, and other liturgical materials that can be used in these contexts. The book reflects the religious and cultural attitudes of its time, and provides a valuable historical perspective on the role of the clergy in the lives of their parishioners. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
