About the Author

Lubomir Bic holds a PhD in Information and Computer Science. For the past 37 years, Dr. Bic has been a professor in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, where he teaches and carries out research in the areas of biomedical computing and biology-inspired simulations. He is the author of several books and hundreds of scientific publications. Zuzana Bic earned a doctorate in general medicine from the King Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Her strong beliefs in prevention and lifestyle medicine led her to the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University, California, where she earned a second doctorate in Public Health. Dr. Bic is now a Senior Lecturer and the Director of Student Experience in Public Health Practice in the Department of Population Health and Disease Prevention, Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences, University of California, Irvine.
