Curing Time (Paperback)

Paperback. CURING TIME. The curing process when the tobacco, after enduring the summer heat, draught and rain, matures and stands tall in the field, waiting for the last of the process when the leaves are plucked from the stalk and put up in the barn to be cured and transformed into perfected, golden leaves. Hume Rankin endures hi own Curing Time in the summer of the late 1950's. Sitting in a jail cell, unsure if he committed the crime, Hume Rankin fears he may have played a part in his own demise when he ignored the blind old woman's warning. This item is printed on demand.
