Predictably, each page looks like one filmstrip frame with a caption below. In Curious George Goes Fishing, George tries his hand at fishingbut he catches only the fish in a man's frying pan, which he casts into the water. In Curious George Vis its a Police Station , George delights in swinging from the barred doors of the jail cells in the new police station. He proceeds to lock up the police chief and the mayor. In both books, the young monkey redeems himself. These short stories don't have the read-aloud charm of the original ``Cu rious George'' books (Houghton), but for youngsters who desperately want any Curious George book, they will do. Deirdre R.
