Lord Kenyon, and a Special Jury, in Westminster-Hall, 1791 - Curious Case: Oxford Circuit (Oxford, July 21 1830) [Before Mr Baron Gurney] (tipped onto paper from original publication), - Elizabeth Chapman, Versus William Shaw, Attourney at Law. Action of Damage for a Breach of Promise of Marriage; Before Lord Kenyon, in the Court of King's Bench, May 22, 1790. With ink inscription dated 1896 to front free-endpaper. With pictorial bookplate to front pastedown. In a half-morocco binding. Externally, generally smart, though with some rubbing. Internally, firmly bound although slightly strained. Ink signature to recto of front free-endpaper. Pages have some patches of foxing and some handling marks. Good.
