The nation's earliest inhabitants continue to experience disproportionate levels of poverty, alcoholism, and other problems while struggling to retain their tribal identities. Some of the arguments are thoughtfully and clearly presented; some are self-indulgent. Some are full of lawyerly rhetoric; others are frivolous to the point of pointlessness. Some are compelling; others are exasperating. Anyone looking for various viewpoints on these issues, or a subject to debate, need look no further.
