Custodians of the Stone Circle: Book 1 (Paperback or Softback)

Custodians of the Stone Circle is a thrilling middle-grade fantasy adventure about friendship, family and the courage to step beyond the familiar.

When Amelia, Ava, Musa, Noa and Ivy gather for the summer at their grandparents’ home near the Pass of Killiecrankie, they expect long days of stories, cardamom tea and exploring the Scottish countryside. Instead, an ancient box, a mysterious key and a map that seems to have a mind of its own lead them to a circle of standing stones at the edge of the woods.

Beyond the stones lies the In-Between, a hidden realm of shifting paths, ancient knowledge and watchful Djinn. To find their way home, the five friends must face a series of trials that test not only their courage, but their ability to listen, share, repair and protect what matters.

But something else has noticed that the map has awakened. A presence from the past is moving through the corridors between worlds, searching for a way back.

Rooted in Scottish landscapes, Muslim family life and Djinn folklore, Custodians of the Stone Circle is a magical adventure for readers aged 9 to 13 who love secret portals, old maps, dangerous mysteries and stories where ordinary children discover they are capable of extraordinary things.
