Gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Gilt on all edges. Soiled and foxed stain on cover. Hinge rubbed and 2.5" tattered from the bottom and 0.5" from the top. Cover edges worn Corners bending and worn. Pages browning. Cover torn from the binder but back paste down page still hold the cover from the book. Foxing and damp stain pages especially pages close to the covers. Some pages torn from the side edges. The first ten pages almost torn from the binder. Previous owner's signature on first free end page. DATE PUBLISHED: 1882 EDITION: 1031.
