32 pages. 16 x 9 cm. Rorer promotes Dunham's Original Shred Cocoanut, a popular brand of prepared coconut, known for its use in baking and other culinary applications. It was particularly popular during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Illustrations show product suggestions and recipes. Includes advice on use of coconuts, index, and recipes. Sarah Tyson Rorer (1849-1937) was a cooking teacher and dietitian who founded the Philadelphia School of Cookery in 1884. She became a leading figure in American domestic science, and was well-known in the United States for her practical and versatile cookbooks and demonstrations. Front and back cover soiled with 1 cm. closed tear. Interior clean. [BROWN 3644].
