A DAY WITH ROBERT BROWNING

Illustrated grey board cover. half-title with title in red+col.f/piece by EW.Haslehurst+t.p. with pub.logo in red, 48 pp. inc.prelims, 5 further col.plates ex-pagination, 4 by Russell Flint, one by W.J.Neatby; only flaw is browning to outer side of endpapers, there is a very faint penciled gift inscription dated Xmas 1912 verso front endpaper (erasable but established ante-quem pub.date); covers clean and bright with gilt bordered lettering and unascribed Browning portrait centre front, gilt rose motif centre back, only flaws are two trivial dents centre top edges and hint of rubbing top spine. Spine lettering is gilt and very faint, hint of spine darkening. Undated but the Russell Flint ills. are all dated 1907 or 1909 as far as I can discern, so presumably pub.1910-1912. Books in this series are not uncommon but usually have not fared very well and this is unusually good, while is also apparently exceptionally scarce and, surprisingly, not in BL catalogue (you are welcome to have a search yourself but mine yielded nothing and I am well familiar with the on-line procedure).
