This card was designed to be displayed in a retail setting to promote "Swimeesy Buoys", the swimming aid which Dean's launched in 1907. Pictorial showcard with decoration and lettering printed in green on a lightweight white cardstock with light age tanning, gentle rounding of the corners and light foxing, which is heaviest along the left and right edges for what is a nice example of this early 20th century marketing item; two punched holes at center-top strung with string for hanging. This was the actual showcard reproduced on p. 214 of Peter and Dawn Cope's book, Dean's Rag Books and Rag Dolls; from Dean's archives. The condition of the showcard is VERY GOOD. RARE.
