Early reprint (first published by Dodd, Mead in January 1910 and preceded by original British edition in 1909). viii, 310 pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 13cm. Lacks dust jacket. Dull blue cloth; light scuffing/bumping at spine ends and board corners. Oversized personal pictorial bookplate of St. Louis physician, naval historian, and author E. Lee Dorsett (Edward Lee Dorsett, 1883-1967) on front pastedown along with another owner's label "Henry Selden Weller | Hempstead | Long Island, N.Y." at top left; text pages are clean. A few slight stress points to binding which otherwise remains firm. Fourth book and second novel by British nautical historian Basil Lubbock.
