Incisione originale di inizio ottocento, il ritratto di Vivant Denon incisore, egittologo e storico Vivant Denon (1747-1825). Denon accompagnò Bonaparte nella Campagna d'Egitto. Al suo ritorno venne nominato direttore del Museo Napoleone che poi diventerà museo del Louvre e amministratore delle arti. Nel 1805 Denon rilancia il progetto della colonna Vendome che era stato sospeso nel 1803. Organizza spedizioni nell'Europa Imperiale per raccogliere d'arte da trasportare nel Museo del Louvre.
