Paul exclaims in Romans 11:33-34, "O, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counsellor?” While Paul is writing his important letter to address specific issues in the Roman church, he is awestruck at a sudden revelation of God’s infinite wisdom demonstrated in His redemptive plan for both Jews and Gentiles through faith in Jesus Christ. Lizzy Thomas, while teaching the book of Romans to a women’s Bible study group, went through a similar experience of being in awe and wonder at the depth of the wisdom and knowledge of God that had made such an amazing redemptive plan to save humanity from God’s just wrath. This inspired her to write this clear, vivid and simple awe-inspiring book for the glory of God.

“O, THE DEPTH OF GOD’S WISDOM IN HIS PLAN FOR HUMAN SALVATION” is a verse-by-verse commentary of the book of Romans where Lizzy Thomas dives into the deep recesses of the doctrines of justification, sanctification and glorification as three phases in God’s plan of salvation for humanity. As God’s wisdom gets unveiled through the book, she also helps the reader to understand the basis for all the practical instructions that Paul gives in the latter chapters of the epistle.
