Edited by his son, these three volumes cover his diaries and letters over the period 1930 - 1962. A brilliant picture of British society in the 1930s, a wartime history only enhanced by working alongside the key actors including Churchill and a more personal reflection of his own biographical works including that of King George V make this one of the most lauded sets of diaries written. All three volumes have a personal inscription and date to the front end paper, unclipped dustjackets, protected in a clear, removable covers and top edges that fully retain their original black tint, and are illustrated throughout with photographs. Volume I - 1930 - 1939 - First Edition Fourth Impression - Near fine condition, small tear to the to edge of the front cover and small marks to the back cover. Volume II - 1939 - 1945 - First Edition - Very good condition, shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine, faint marks to the bottom edge, small tear to the bottom edge of the back cover.
