London 1785 1st English J. Murray and Charles Elliot. Translated from the Latin by the Translator of Spallanzani's Dissertations (Thomas Beddoes). Torbern, a noted Swedish chemist, published his 1775 Dissertation on Elective Attractions in 1775. It contained the largest chemical affinity tables ever published. Octavo, (xv), 382pp., emandanda page, five foldout plates (chemical charts), original leather boards, inner hinges cracked, new paper spine. Title page professionally repaired. Near Good. Scarce.
