Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the Brigade Machine Gun Company, 112 Infantry Brigade, 37th Division, covering February 1916 to February 1918 across 157 pages. It names 89 places across 121 dated entries. Alongside the daily entries the volume carries two maps. The diary opens at Grantham on 24 February 1916. 1916 is the most travelled year, 58 places against 43 in the next busiest, and is spent at Bienvillers-Au-Bois, Bully-Grenay, Saulty, Sus. St. Leger and Souastre. 1917 is spent at Seige Farm, Sloane Square, Les Brebis, Ypres-Comines Canal and Kemmel Chateau. 1918 at Renescure, Lynde, Maida Camp, Forester Camp and La Cuytte Camp. It closes at Maida Camp on 28 February 1918. Bienvillers-Au-Bois is where it spent longest, 49 days across seven separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 41 days at Seige Farm. Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Seige Farm, Kemmel Chateau, Bazentin le Petit Wood, Donegal Farm, Bully Beef Farm, Tyrone Farm and Tyronne Farm. In 1916 it is also recorded at Southampton, Le Havre, Doullens, Authieule, Orville, Fonquevillers, Halloy, Millencourt, Usna Tara and Albert. In 1917 it is also recorded at Veille Chapelle, Verquineul, Robecq, Nedonchelle, Antin, Rebreuviette, Houvigneul, Habarcq, Warlus and Arras.
