Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the Brigade Machine Gun Company, 170 Infantry Brigade, 57th Division, covering February 1917 to February 1918 across 84 pages. It names 14 places across 24 dated entries.The diary opens at Cordonnerie on 18 February 1917. 1917 is spent at Cordonnerie-Boutillerie, Armentieres, Ecottes and La-Tiremande. 1918 at Wez Macquart, Proven and Erquinghem. It closes at Wez Macquart on 28 February 1918. Cordonnerie-Boutillerie is where it spent longest, 104 days, including a single unbroken stay of 66 and it came back to Proven five separate times.In 1917 it is also recorded at Sailly, Renescure, Proven, Pilkem-Ridge, Licques, Rousbrugge and Boesinghe.
