Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the 8th Battalion, Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own (Yorkshire Regiment), 69 Infantry Brigade, 23rd Division, covering August 1915 to December 1917 across 104 pages. It names 46 places across 70 dated entries. Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one report or narrative. Among the papers are: 69th Infantry Brigade. special order of the Day. The diary opens at Bramshott on 26 August 1915. 1915 is spent at Monnecove, Rue Marle, Jesus Farm, Oultersteen and La Rolanderie. 1916 at Albert, Angres III, Fosse 10, Toronto Camp and Ypres. 1917 at Montello, Venegazzu, Infantry Barracks, Toronto Camp and Bund. It closes at Venegazzu on 31 December 1917. Albert is where it spent longest, 92 days, including a single unbroken stay of 92 and it came back to Rue Marle six separate times.
