The diary opens at Buttevant on 1 August 1914. 1914 is spent at Chapel D'Armentieres, Rue Du Bois, Chaple D'Armentieres, Rue Petillon and Armentieres. 1915 at Armentieres, Chapel D'Armentieres, Chapelle D'Armentieres, Poperinghe and Nr Poperinghe. It closes at NE of Ypres on 30 November 1915. Chapel D'Armentieres is where it spent longest, 128 days across six separate stays, it came back to Armentieres sixteen separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Chaple D'Armentieres. Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Trenches Near Hooge, Trenches, Chapel D'Armentieres Trenches Near, Wood A.30, Trenches E. of Houplines, La Brique Trenches, Trenches Soupir and Trenches N of Ypres.
