The diary opens at Tidworth on 4 August 1914. 1914 is the most travelled year, 72 places against 28 in the next busiest, and is spent at Locre, Hooge, Westoutre and Tidworth. 1915 is spent at Kemmel, Vierstraat, Westoutre, La Clytte and Dickebusch. It closes at Vierstraat on 30 June 1915. Kemmel is where it spent longest, 50 days across thirteen separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 30 days at Vierstraat. In 1914 it is also recorded at Havre, Rouen, S' Hampton, Aumoye, Marbaix, St Hilaire, Feignies, Ciply, Nouvelles and Harmignies. In 1915 it is also recorded at Locre, Dranoutre, Elzenwalle, Ypres and Laclytte Dickebusch.
