An extremely interesting rare variant of the third edition 1966. The titles to the spine of the boards read: "The Screenplay by Robert Bolt" which was published by Collins and Harvill Press the previous year, and yet the dustwrapper is correct, as is the contents of the book which is exactly the contents as Doctor Zhivago should be, complete with the poems to the rear, correct title-page and printings on the copyright page. Did the printer run out of boards for the book? Was it a mistake? Was an assistant not paying strict attention after coming back from lunch?! ***Third edition, 1966 printed on the publisher's prelims copyright page. Translated from the Russian by Max Hayward and Manya Harari. Jacket design by John Woodcock. ***Near fine in green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to spine. Gilt titles bright. Boards clean and unmarked. Spine tight. Pages clean. No foxing.
