Documentos para la historia de Yaiza: del siglo XVII a 1920 es un estudio sobre la poblaci�n de habit� en el actual municipio de Yaiza desde los primeros a�os del siglo XVII, a trav�s de los protocolos notariales de la isla, y desde el siglo XVIII, a trav�s de los matrimonios celebrados en la parroquia de Nuestra Se�ora de los Remedios, desde su erecci�n en 1728 hasta el a�o 1920, y en la de San Marcial en Fem�s entre los a�os 1819 y 1920. Por ello, este trabajo constituye una herramienta indispensable para la elaboraci�n de genealog�as de �mbito insular, con gran proyecci�n hacia el resto de Canarias y Am�rica. Adem�s, este trabajo recoge una parte notable de la documentaci�n notarial que los vecinos de Yaiza otorgaron durante su vida ante los escribanos p�blicos de Lanzarote, en especial la documentaci�n testamentaria, que se conserva en el Archivo Hist�rico Provincial de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as� como la informaci�n proveniente de las dispensas matrimoniales conservadas en el Archivo Hist�rico Diocesano de La Palmas de Gran Canaria.
