The copyright page indicates that this book was entered by Geo J. McLeod at the Department of Agriculture in 1899 but this edition dated probably from the first decade of the 20th century. This is a reworking of a cookbook by Clarke which first appeared in 1883 and as called MRS. CLARKE'S COOKERY BOOK.
