23x20.5 cm, pp. [1-2] 1-20 [21-22], illustrations, 1 map, self wrappers, stapled. In 1953 this 1891 square-mile county had about 17.800 residents (a few hundred less than in 1939) and its biggest employer was still the timber industry. The brochure promotes recreation: Lake Tahoe and the El Dorado National Forest, and revenue for resort and vacation services far exceeded those for all other categories of products sold, except lumbering.
