Printed in black on both sides of a 17? x 22? sheet of newsprint. Neatly folded into quarters, with some light toning; else very good or better. Poster laying out the 10-point plan of the White Panther Party, an anti-racist group formed in 1968 to support the Black Panthers. The White Panthers disseminated Black Panther Party literature, organized independent community services, and combated racism and white supremacy. Founded by key members of the Detroit Artists Workshop, the White Panthers ? later known as the Rainbow People?s Party - operated primarily in Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Their ten-point program, adapted from the Black Panthers, called for the free exchange of energy and materials, the end of money and the prison system, and the dissolving of all unnatural boundaries. Point 10 of the program: ?We want a free planet. We want free land, free food, free shelter, free clothing, free music, and culture, free media, free technology, free education, free health care, free bodies, free people, free time and space, everything free for everybody.? The verso of the poster provides information about legal self-defense, the People?s Radio, and organizations like Spanish Power in Command and the Women?s Information Center.
