Daily Disciple: A One-Year Devotional Guide

God calls us beloved children and wants to spend time with us. This devotional guide can be a tool to help you enjoy quiet, holy moments each day of the year.

Each daily devotional begins with a theme. It then invites us to meditate on a portion of a biblical Psalm and a scripture. Every Psalm and every book in the Bible is represented during the year. A brief prayer thought - meant to lead you into a deeper period of prayer - ends each devotional.

What is unique about this devotional is a daily quotation from a 19th-century leader in what historians call the Stone-Campbell Movement, a movement that gave birth to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Churches of Christ, and the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. Today there are over 4 million members of these churches in the United States, and millions in other parts of the world. Why listen to the voices of these Christian leaders of an earlier time? Because they were faithful to God in their age and can help open our eyes to what God is doing among us now.
