Woodcuts; 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 288 pages; Presumed 1st edition of this very uncommon mid 19th century guide for Lay Persons of the Catholic faith. Snug and neat in original polished calf with decorative pictorial designs in gilt to boards and spine. Mild tapping to boards at corner tips with just slight rub through to leather at top corners. Complete and sound but with a slight yawn at the front internal hinge showing the binding cords. Small area with a buildup of soiling or residue to the rear board. Illustrated with numerous woodcuts. Not found in any institutional or special library collections.Scarce. Attractive copy. VG.
