Small-format devotional in publisher?s original yellow-orange cloth, decoratively blind-stamped with borders to both boards, faded gilt device to front board, and faded gilt lettering to spine; all edges gilt. Vest-pocket or ?thumb-size? format (48mo). Binding sound; pages clean and unmarked, with bright gilt edges. Lacks the title page, as noted. Light shelf wear to cloth, including a small stain to the front board.

Contains one Bible verse for each day of the year, arranged from January 1 through December 31. Biblical texts quoted in the King James Version (KJV). A well-preserved example of a late-nineteenth-century miniature devotional, representative of personal religious practice during the Victorian period.
