The Dainty Elephants

In 2090, the once-breathtaking city of Dubrovnik has fallen silent. The super virus that swept the globe left behind a skeletal ruin of sun-bleached walls, shattered markets, and the ghosts of a civilization that believed itself unbreakable.

Forensic psychologist Daria Romanov walks these empty streets not just as a survivor, but as a seeker-searching for something more than mere endurance. She sees the hidden signs of life in the shadows: a tarp strung over a crumbling archway, a cluster of herbs tucked in a forgotten alcove, a child's fleeting laughter swallowed by the wind.

But survival is not enough. Daria envisions something dangerous in this fractured world: rebuilding.

Her mission is to find others who still hold the keys to civilization-not warriors, but builders, healers, teachers, and thinkers-and unite them into a collective with the vision, knowledge, and patience to rise from the ashes. Together, they will become The Dainty Elephants-a deceptively fragile name for a group whose strength lies in memory, strategy, and unyielding persistence.

In a land ruled by scavengers and warlords, they will fight not with brute force, but with intelligence, cooperation, and the long game. But every choice carries risk, every alliance a cost-and the predators who roam the ruins will not stay blind to their quiet rebellion forever.

If they succeed, they will rekindle the light of human ingenuity.
If they fail, the silence will claim Dubrovnik forever.

A gripping, atmospheric blend of post-apocalyptic survival and intricate psychological drama, The Dainty Elephants will pull you into a world where the greatest weapon is the human mind-and the boldest hope is the will to rebuild.
