Damage Control is a New York City detective thriller written by a former senior investigator for the New York State Attorney General's Office. Tom Cassidy had the privilege of working with many detectives, investigators and attorneys who inspired him to write this fast-moving murder mystery.

Thomas M. Cassidy is a former senior investigator who spent 20 years battling crime for the New State Attorney General. Other experiences include appointments as a Clinical Associate Professor at the School of Social Welfare at Stony Brook University, as Research Fellow for the American Institute for Economic Research and an appointment as a Senior Fellow at the Institute for SocioEconomic Studies.

Tom, a member of Mystery Writers of America, is the author of: "Elder Care/What to Look For/What to Look Out For!" (New Horizon Press), "How To Choose Retirement Housing," an Economic Education Bulletin published by the American Institute for Economic Research, and co-editor along with Dr. Lynn M. Tepper, an Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University, of a college textbook, "Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Aging" (Springer Publishing Company).
