About the Author

Don Bowlin grew up in a small northwest Florida town, known as "Danaville" in this story. He spent much of his time with farm friends, learning a lot about them and their families how close-knit they were and their conservative outlook on life. His grandfather was a farmer, and greatly impressed Bowlin by what he witnessed. He considers the American farmer, then and now, as the backbone of this nation. The toughness, dedication, and spiritual faith they have practiced for three centuries is carried on today by the four-generation Kelly family.

Bowlin spent many years as a graphic designer, fine artist, and corporate advertising executive with worldwide responsibilities for a large company, and extensive travel throughout the world. He is an alumnus of Florida State University, a member of the Pi Kappa Phi national fraternity, an ex-pilot, and a Christian. He and his wife Susan live in Houston, Texas
