To Dance with the Dangerous Duke: Clean Regency Romance (The Nettlefold Chronicles)

A Duke sworn never to love again, a Lady trapped by one past mistake, a Christmas Ball, a blackmailing cad, an impossible choice, a last minute reprieve, a miraculous love.

Lady Isabelle Rutherford fears the house party and Christmas Ball that her brother is holding at Kilmerstan Castle - it’s not that she does not wish to socialise, and eventually marry, but more that she risks scandal and ruination if she meets anyone who saw her in the wrong place, the one and only time that she made a foolish mistake.

Lyon Hartley, Duke of Dangerfield, has a rake’s reputation, and a history of duelling. But all of that is simply his way of dealing with the pain of betrayal. He has sworn never to care for a woman again. Leaving London for a few weeks to attend a Christmas Ball seems as good a way as any to amuse himself.

But when they meet, neither is what the other expects, and attraction flares - an attraction that may never be acted on, as Lady Isabelle’s worst fears are realised.

Can Lady Isabelle avoid scandal, or will her ruination bring ruin to her sister as well? Will the Duke discover the truth of her situation in time to save her? Or will their love be lost before it begins, when Lady Isabelle is forced to wed another?
