Hardbound 8vo (9.5 inches tall) 495 pages. Dark blue endpapers. Description: Includes a section of black and white and color plates -- the selection of illustrations was ''based on Violet Powell, The Album of Anthony Powell's Dance to the Music of Time (1987).'' Introduction by William Trevor. The publisher explains that this work was ''first published as three individual novels: A Question of Upbringing in 1951; A Buyer's Market in 1952 and The Acceptance World in 1953, all by William Heinemann of London. This edition follows the texts of the first editions with minor emendations.'' The entire twelve volume series was published by the Folio Society in four matching volumes (volume are not identical, but matching) -- this is one volume from that set. The cover illustration on this volume is titled 'La Gourmandise' -- Pochoir print after Georges Barbier, 1920-1930.
