Author José Chavez was born in New Mexico and raised in Venice, CA. He has a Master's degree in ESL, and his poetry has appeared in the Multilingual Educator Journal. He's inspired by childhood experiences and the work of many outstanding poets. José resides in Moreno Valley, CA, with his wife and tabby cat. This book is his second collection of bilingual poems for children. José enjoys opportunities to present his books to audiences at schools, libraries, conferences, and other community events. Aydee López Martínez is a California artist, born in Teocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico. Her colorful works have been shown throughout the U.S., parts of Mexico, and include two book covers. This is her second children's book illustration, in collaboration with poet and writer, José Chavez. She is very proud, excited, and dedicates it with love to her children, Micaela and Ryan.
