About the Author
Born in Clarksville, TN, Nick has read and written about motivation, inspiration, and leadership since the age of thirteen. While deployed in Kirkuk, Iraq, he wrote articles on the pressing need of leadership in and out of the war zone. Nick has maintained dual careers as a Civil Servant with the Federal Government, and as a Reservist in the Air Force. Presently, Colonel "Nick" is the Deputy Director, Executive Services, in the Directorate of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategic Plans and Programs, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. His previous assignment was Commander, 459th AMDS Andrews Air Force Base, MD. He was responsible for the organization, training, equipping and worldwide duty readiness of over 80 squadron members supporting a Wing of 1,300 personnel in 20 units. This assignment became the inspiration for the book Dancing On The Razor's Edge. Nick has over 34 years of combined enlisted and officer service. He has served in both Kuwait, Saudi Arabia (Operation Desert Storm), and Kirkuk, Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom). As a civil Servant, he has accumulated 26 years of service, and is currently a Senior Contracting Officer, level III certified, with the Federal Government. Nick is also currently the President and CEO of SIE Global Enterprises LLC, a contract-consulting firm, and SIE Global Publishing LLC, companies grounded in Service, Integrity, and Excellence.
