A Dangerous Bike Ride: Book 1 of the Richard Tracy Series

The children of Richard Tracy talked their father into riding in the Texas MS 150, a charity bike ride to fund Multiple Sclerosis Research. Richard is a 70-year-old retired Detective.

While riding in this event, Richard meets a charming woman, Mary Beth Austin who is a retired chef. She claims to be the same age as Jack Benny, the comedian who for years celebrated his 39th birthday each year on the air.

Richard and Mary Beth are enjoying each other's company so much. They exchange phone numbers and addresses lest they lose track of each other.

They entered the streets of Austin Texas expecting this bike ride for the first stage in a Fulfilling Romance, but as they cross the finish line, they and several dozen other Riders are engulfed in an explosion.

Richard wakes up in a hospital and asks about Mary Beth, but Mary Beth is unaccounted for. Richard decides he must use his detective skills to find Mary Beth, the woman he loves.
