Item description from seller

A striking edition of Inferno, the first part of Dante’s Divine Comedy, translated and extensively illustrated by the artist Tom Phillips. Bound in gilt-blocked, decorated cloth, this large-format volume (30 cm) contains 311 pages of vivid colour illustrations integrated with the English text. This second edition is in Fine condition overall, with the binding remaining clean, tight, and bright. While the dust jacket is missing, the book itself is notably well-preserved and visually impressive, both as a literary and artistic interpretation of Dante’s classic.
