Large 8vo. Loose quires as issued in orig. wrappers, half vellum sleeve, and slipcase. The extra suite in own separate wrappers within the same sleeve. Exemplaire H. C. Maillol (No. CCXXVIII) on Maillol/Gonin paper. Signed in the colophon by Maillol and the Gonins. Carteret IV, 243 ("Belle édition, très cotée"); Guérin nos. 76 127; Monod 7261; Rauch 141; cf. The Artist and the Book 174 (English version published in the same year by Zwemmer, London). Some foxing in parts, mostly to the uncut margins. Few quires with slight browning. Good copy in all.
