The Dark Rise

If you were responsible for destroying the world what lengths would you push yourself to in order to fix even the littlest part of it?

Caneon and his friends find themselves answering this exact question when the innocent pastime they saw as a hobby becomes so much more. A trip to Mexico with new friends traps them in a city with some of the world's oldest predators. Only they aren't from this world.

Unprepared for what they've awakened, they fight to free themselves and in the process loose this monster on the rest of us. Forever changed by what's been done, humanity struggles to survive the onslaught.

Thankfully not alone in their fight to cage the dark they had set free; they find allies in places they would never have thought to look. As their perception of the world around them changes, they come to terms with the understanding that the world was never what they thought it was.

Pushed to shed the skins of their normal lives, they find their true strengths and make sacrifices beyond bearing. There is no time to retreat or mourn what's lost with the enemy taking no time to rest as it ravages cities and towns around the globe.

Join this wonderful cast of characters as they become more than a stay-at-home mom, pizza delivery boy or physical trainer. Enjoy every second of the tumultuous journey and ultimately see if they are able to beat back the tide of terror washing away the lives they've built in this first novel in The Valdan Series.
