The Dark Song

The Guardians of Lorial Saga: Book 1

"This I sayeth unto thee, thou who wouldst heareth The Dark Song, heedeth mine own words, for the Cataclysm is nigh..."

- The Prophecy of Shadows

Lorial is broken, left baren after the Cataclysm wrought devastation upon the Silver Kingdom of Dremica. Once the height of civilization upon Lorial, the eastern land was destroyed in just three days. Then, at the end of the third day, the Fire in Heaven, a great banner of flame and ruin gashed eternally across the night sky, all was silenced.

Four hundred years after the Cataclysm, the world has only healed enough for it to come unraveled once more. Across the Old Sea in the western land of Rethial, Organa and her life-long best friend, Brok, have fled the Order of Valkiel. Seeking refuge in the nearby towns, Organa and Brok meet a traveling duo of mages who need help recovering a lost artifact. As they travel, an ancient shadow stirs and secrets thought lost to time are uncovered. Will another Cataclysm come forth to destroy the world once and for all or will the rising Guardians come to find their strength and overturn the coming evil?
