Data & Analytics 4.0: The Future of Work, Privacy and Trust in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Contrary to the past when numerous companies failed due to the delay in adopting technology, the future’s disruption might come from undervaluing humans, overusing robots and failing to build a symbiotic workforce (humans + machines) for the future. In this book, Journel Joseph addresses the complexities surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) and the future of work—information warfare, social media and data misuse, digital trust and privacy by reflecting on “How to future-proof your career with the rise of AI. How are companies going to face the future in this tumultuous and uncertain time? What makes the apps that consume our daily lives so successful? How is your personal data being collected and analyzed in today’s age of automation? What about data privacy, does it really matter? Is your mind being hacked? Are humans underrated? How much of the data that permeates our daily lives is actually trustworthy?” Using real-world scenarios and case studies, this book focuses on the practical applications of data and analytics to help tackle these questions and much more. The stakes are personal and daunting, but it is a critical journey—a continuous voyage that will lead to the ultimate destination depending on how fast you adapt and adjust along the way.
