Data Center (ScullTech)

Dave notices the new roadside camera on his way to breakfast in Morrow Bend, Arizona. He starts with the town’s contract. Years spent working around electronics and machinery have given him a habit of finding out what happens beyond the part he can see.

At the RV, Glo reads over his shoulder and asks who can use the records. Their questions take them through town offices, cloud infrastructure, and the growing demand for electricity, then overseas to examine digital identity and payment systems. Between appointments, there is still time for coffee, a walk, and something to eat.

Dave begins tracing how separate organizations can share authority over an ordinary transaction. Alongside the technical documents, he opens Revelation and considers its questions of commerce, worship, and allegiance. Glo stays interested in what all of this would mean for the person standing at the counter.

DATA CENTER is an illustrated novel with source notes for readers who want to follow the public record themselves.
