Database Systems: A Practical Approach to Design, Implementation, and Management (Paperback)

Database Systems provides a comprehensive introduction to database theory, design, implementation, and management for technical and nontechnical readers. Using an integrated case study, it develops a practical methodology for relational DBMS design while also covering SQL, transaction management, query processing, security, administration, legal and ethical issues, and compliance.

The 7th Edition adds substantial new and updated coverage of distributed DBMSs; mobile and replicated DBMSs; object-relational and object-oriented systems; web, cloud, and microservices architectures; NoSQL, multimodel, and NewSQL DBMSs; and data warehousing.
